1. Consuelo Cavinglia: Through The Door That Holds You
Consuelo Cavaniglia, a Sydney-based artist, thinks about how we see and comprehend space. The new body of work by Cavaniglia, which uses glass to further her interests in colour and optics and create surreal environments, is on display in this exhibition.
2. Mel Douglas: Out of Line
Mel Douglas, an artist living in Canberra, investigates the versatility and promise of glass as a sketching medium. The installation Tonal value (1-9) 2019 explores how objects might occupy and trace lines in space as well as the tonal alterations made possible by the viscosity of glass in this exhibition.
3. Liam Fleming: Falling into Space
This exhibition features a fresh body of work by Adelaide-based glassblower, artist, and designer Liam Fleming. a philosophical examination of the types of things and qualities provided by the medium of glass, which can exhibit many behaviours and potentials during fire polishing, fusing, and slumping. Results from additional experimentation with cold-working techniques.
4. Louis Grant: awash
Louis Grant explores the potential of traditional craft skills to push the frontiers of glass manufacturing and contemporary sculpture in his work that straddles studio glass and interdisciplinary practice. In “awash,” a collection of new and recent pieces, Grant reverts materials to their original, unadulterated state, allowing the glass medium to be both delicate and tough.

Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair access is available at UNSW Galleries. There are two wheelchair-accessible parking spaces available Monday through Friday in the university parking lot; enter at Gate 3 on Greens Road next to Albion Avenue. There is just street parking accessible on Saturday and Sunday. The Arthouse Kitchen café and the main entrance to the gallery are both on the ground floor.

The UNSW Galleries’ upper level can be reached via elevator. In order to give directions and access, kindly inform the reception staff.
