Anzac Memorial Tour and Lunch

Detailed Description of Anzac Memorial Tour

You will start your tour by meeting your guide at the Anzac Memorial Tour Western (Elizabeth Street side) entrance. You can observe the Sacrifice in the Hall of Silence and learn about the Memorial’s architect and sculptor. Additionally, you’ll discover more about the vestibule and the structure’s art deco design. For the approximately 3- to 4-minute service at 11:00 a.m., the tour will continue upstairs to the Hall of Memory. (There are lifts accessible throughout the building.)

Before heading downstairs to the Hall of Service to view the 100 combat signs on the floor and the wall plaques listing the places where troops enlisted in NSW, you will have opportunity to tour the Vietnam War exhibition in the Assembly Hall. There will be time to see the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy, Royal Australian Air Force, and Nursing Corps exhibits at the Exhibition Center.

Take a short of Anzac Memorial Tour and Lunch

After the tour, take a short stroll through Hyde Park to the ancient St. James Church, which is directly across from the park, where you may eat lunch at Jardin St. James, which is unusually housed in the church’s crypt. Lunch will be a sumptuous two-course set menu with a choice of one main course, side salads to share, and a choice of one dessert. Additionally included are filtered coffee and tea.

Note that:

Hyde Park may be traversed in 10 to 15 minutes. From the main promenade, a set of stairs descends to Park Street, which divides the park in half. The stroll along Elizabeth Street is level for anyone who is unable to negotiate the steps.
